I eat my tuna from a bowl and then it goes in the sink with all the other bowls.
When I'm at work, I eat it right out of the can...at home I get "civilized", and dump it into a bowl first.

You should strain your tuna as well if you want to rid the fish of as much sodium as possible but this is not needed unless you are sodium depleting for competition
Tuna in saltwater = "brine", right? YEs, very healthy.

can i ask you guys something.during the summer i actually began this habit of buying canned tuna(in brine) from the market and would open the can, drain it,and then it eat it straight from the can.later on i ended up eating it with lettuce(tuna and lettuce taste really good together.at least that is my opinion.i first saw it in a andvert when i was really young).
the only thing which bothered me is whether it was good quality protein.is it?

I've got a question. Why is it that Tuna is always referred to as Tunafish. We all know that it's a fish, it's not like it needs to be said in the name. I mean, we don't call it Salmonfish, or Codfish, do we. Don't get me wrong, I do it sometimes too. It's just weird thats all.
Tuna from the can is awesome!! How could anybody put mayo on it?? thats just wrong

Watch out for high levels of mercury found in tuna. I eat straight from the can and then give the rest to my dog. He eats it straight from the can too smilies/images/icons/rolleyes.gif

Tuna from the can does get old, but if you're a tuna lover to begin with... then its all good. I personally love tuna, and most other fish.
