I've read numerous articles that state it is nearly imposible to loose the fat and gain muscle at the same time. I guess due mainly b/c of the huge calorie difference one must consume. My question: I just started back and I'm very torn between being ripped and being big. I used to work out for well over a year and due to an injury had to quit. Well it sucked because I was where I wanted to be as far as muscle mass (5' 5"---180lbs.)
Now I'm only 150lbs. To say the least I've gotten small and it sucks. Here is my diet so far and please explain the benefits/negatives this will give me.
Breakfast: Labrada protien shake w/ mild 60g protein.

Lunch: Sci Fit whey protien shake.+ creitine s.p?

Work out:

Post workout: Labrada shake + creitine.

afternoon lunch: ham and cheese and turkey
sanwitch. Lots of ham and turkey.

Dinner: two chicken breasts, salad, and pasta, or potato.

Pre bed: sci-fit whey protien shake.

Well there it is. What will I accomplish with this diet? Will I gain muscle and loose fat or will I loose fat and gain no muscle. I'm just so confused on what to do and time limits my food intake. Please Please, please, please, please help..........
I need some expert advice and I'm willing to do major changes to both diet and excercize.
Thanks in Advance,

Ryan

Yes, it is very hard to lose and gain at the same time (and very slow). If you goal is to put more weight on, I suggest you look in the magazine section for the "12 week to getting big diet". That will get you going as for what calorie intake you need. It looks like you are getting plenty of protein but I would maybe try getting more of it from food instead of shakes. For muscle gains and your current weight, you should shoot for 225-300g of protein a day...closer to 300 smilies/happyclap.gif

I love the Sci Fit protein. We sell a ton of it in our store. Have you tried the banana flavor yet? YUMMMY!!!

yea the bannana flavor is what I bought. Your right, it's definately good tasting compared to the optima. I guess after you suck down 3 5gal of any protein it will get old. Well thanks for the advice.
