i need help upping my protien intake to 300 grams per day. so besides tuna and protien shakes... what is an easy way to get alot of protien? im not exactly a big eater so something with a high protien per ounce ratio would be nice. ANYTHING at all would be most appreciated.

I like to eat a lot of chicken lots, my favorite. Also orange roughy fish, salmon, cottage cheese 1 or 2%, steaks, possibly lean ground beef depending on you diet, lots of eggwhites with a yolk or two. Also click on the magazine above and scroll down until you get to 12 week fat loss diet then click on that it has a whole list of good protein sources as well as complex carbs. You can thank JWilson for that. Thanx J Good Luck

i really don't see how you are having trouble reaching 300g a day. shakes are what makes it easier to reach a certain # of grams. eat more tuna, chicken, fish, etc...if you are not getting enough in meals and shakes.

like i said... im not a big eater. my stomach is rather small. its hard for me to eat alot more than anything else. and for the peanut butter thing... that is getting kind of old... peanut butter is basically good for adding extra calories but i dont believe it has enough protien to be eating over lean meat or anything else especially for me because then that would cut into the amount of food i can eat in one sitting making it even harder to get 50-60g protien per meal. but yeah thanks for everyones help.

here is my point

right now, i get 2400 calories, over 300 grams of that are protein.

show me your diet and i will let you know what you can do to help it out.

if you ever want to get bigger, you are going to have to learn how to EAT, EAT, and EAT SOME MORE (and love it...b/c you'll hate the cut!!)

dave, i can help, but i need more info that what you gave me. what is your current diet..and what are your goals right now (cut or bulk)

also, are you sure that is not 2 servings of protein equalling 40 grams. almost every source of whey protein is 20-22 grams per serving....

i don't like cottage cheese either, it is disgusting!!

hi thanx for replying, it's true i have a 40g serving of protein and whey powder, it contains 0.6 fat and 0.6 carbs and 150 calories. I don't know my bf, i'm 5"7 and 10 stone which is about 150lb. I not sure when u mean bulk up then loose it by cuttin i don't understand it's not heard of over here. My mates think lifting heavy weights builds u up, they don't know that u have to eat lots to get big.

My aim is to bulk up about a stone and 1/2 just for the time being.
I just want to know what i can have in a day
should i have something with my protein drink? and can u explain the cut more i'm confused

cheers anyany i hope u got something o go on

see ya later

sounds ok to me then. where exactly are you from. and what brand of protein powder are you using?

they'll soon learn when you get huge. bulk and cut: on bulks you will eat, eat, and eat more to gain as much muscle as you can (at this time you will gain some fat too, but if done right you can gain very little) on a cut, you will eat little and try to looked as ripped as possible by shreading off the fat you have put on.

i have never heard of a stone, maybe you could explain that to me... smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

cut is explained above. i really need to see your current diet before i make any alterations. so type up what you eat in a day and i will find some things you can change.

your diet really doesn't look to bad, but you really need to add more calories to that. from what it looks like you are not eating enough.

let's keep it simple and try this diet by jake:

get big diet (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/magazine/get_big_diet_by_jacob_wilson.htm)

by using this diet you are sure to surprise your friends.

if you are wanting to stick with what you have been eating we can figure out what needs to be changed. i will just need to you figure out what you are getting each meal, as in carbs, protein, cal, and fats. you can use this:

calorie counter (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/magazine/caloriecounter.htm)

two more things: you really need to add some vege's to your diet. and a good way to add to your diet is having a protein shake with meals.

let me know what you want to do. that diet is guaranteed to work. "That guy" put on 10 pounds in a month...going at his rate you can put on 20 in two months and then cut.
