I have been eating a lot of different brands. The one that definetely stands out is "Lance" kippered beef, teriyaki flavor. Kippered beef is just like beef jerky but is chewy and not all dried out. Great texture AND flavor!!!! Do you have any other ideas on high protein, low carb snacks? I also have turkey or some kind of lunch meat on crackers with mustard. It gives you a few carbs but your mostly eating meat if you pile it on like I do. Oh, by the way....since I have been ill with allergies I haven't been on here but I switched back to a low carb diet from the 12-week low fat diet. I couldn't handle it. I was getting good results with the low carb anyway and it's easy for me. I will let you know results as weeks go by. I'm definetely staying on it until the end of May. I did it for 2 or three weeks before hand and it was tightening me up nice.

Your a life savor Sandy, I think I will give
that "Lance" kippered beef Jerky a try.

You might like some of the protein bars on the market. Eas has some good protein bars
that I think you might enjoy! They are sweet and give you a sense of saity when
diteing. They help our sweet tooths, know what I mean!? I think you might want to try em out.

thanks Sandy

I edited my message above. Check it out. Yes I used to eat MetRX bars for snacks. They are a little expensive though and quite addictive. I love them though. I think you can get a good deal on a box of them at Costco (Price Club) if you have one around. I do prefer them to shakes. I had shakes forever and can hardly stand drinking them anymore. The last year or two I've just been all natural...just food, no suppliments or anything but as you have seen in earlier posts...I eat plenty!!! **** those steak fahitas for lunch were DELICIOUS!!! Just dump the fixins on top of the grilled steak, peppers and onions, no tortillas. Sorry, I know your cutting...hehehe...and that's not on your diet. But the jerky is low in fat and is ok for your diet and will satisfy your beef tooth.

I'm a big guy so I can get away with more. smilies/images/icons/wink.gifSo I still eat steak, it helps
maintain my muscle when dieting. However I will just have lots of steak and keep my carbs low when eating it. I am glad that
your diet is working for you! I have about
2 weeks left on mine. Definately keep me
posted on your results.

Im sorry if I am making you repeat yourself, so is jerky a good source of meal (snack) to eat when Im on my cut? And one more question. Me and my father just bought a whole **** cow and now we have so much steak in this huge fridge we have in our garage. I was wondering again since Im on my cut if it would be ok to eat like two 10oz tenderloin steaks like every other day for dinner? I think and I am pretty sure that they are the same as fillet mignon.

Hey bud, in my opinion steak is responsible for alot of my muscle mass! Just make sure that you cut it lean. And when I eat steak I do not combine it with alot of carbs because fat and carbs do not mix if you are trying to cut up. So have a nice juicy piece of steak but illiminate your carbs. Or at least limit them to a smaller amount. Veggies are fine.

Hey guys, speaking of jerky, have you tried buffalo jerky? It is delicious and is lower in fat than regular jerky. Give it a try if you can!

The jerky that I bought has sugar listed in the ingredients. I'm currently doing one of those low carb high fat high protein diets. Think I should look for another brand? (The grocery store only had the one type)
