Old School Calf Raises On A Leg Press

Here we work the calves using a method popularized on the site by Old School.

Implementation:  (A)  Place your toes on the edge of the leg press machine, with your heels hanging off the machine.  Lower them all the way.  Now press the weight up with both of your calf muscles and pause for a peak contraction. (B)  Now transfer the weight to your right calf by slightly taking you left foots toes off of the machine.  Slowly lower the weight with the right leg taking the brunt.  Place your left foot back onto the pad and again lift the weight all the way up to a peak contraction.  However this time you will transfer the weight to your left foot, forcing it to take the negative load.
