Mixed Grip Chin

The mixed grip chin is an excellent way to prepare yourself for the one arm chin-up.  It requires similar, but not as much ability.  It does however, like the one arm chin, stress one side of the back more than the other.  For this reason you will need to alternate hand positioning.

Implementation: (A) These will be performed like regular pull-ups except: In the mixed-grip variation, you'll place the hands about shoulder-width apart, but with one hand facing away from you and the other with its palms forward. The side using the palms facing you grip is going to get the greatest portion of the load. (B)  Make sure to perform an equal amount of work for both arms by reversing the grips on each alternating set. The stronger you are, the wider a grip you should use.
