Alternating Upright Rows

Upright rows are the squat of side delt exercises!  It important to perform them in from as many angles and as many ways as possible.  These Allow you to work each shoulder independently of the other.  They are also easy to perform cheat reps on, which will allow you to journey past failure.

Implementation:  Stand holding a dumbbell in each hand using an overhand grip. Your hands should be closer than shoulder width, about 8 to 10 inches is fine. Let the dumbbells hang straight down in front of you.  This creates a stretching sensation in the shoulder girdle.  (B) Raise one dumbbell up in a straight line till you cannot go any further ( around chin height ). (C) Get a peak contraction and then slowly lower the dumbbell and simultaneously raise the other one.  Your back should stay straight and you should feel the traps squeeze and contract as you do the exercise. Your whole shoulder girdle should come up as you raise the dumbbell.  Continue alternating till the set is complete.
