Alternating Leg extensions

This exercise works the tear drop muscles in the quadriceps like no other.  It has 3 advantages:

1.      By alternating, you are using a rest pause type of movement which allows you to prolong the set and maintain a greater pump, which increases strength and conditioning in the muscle.

2.      It forces each leg to work independently of the other!

Implementation:  (A)  Take a seat on a leg extension machine and hook both legs underneath it.  (B)  You will be using approximately half the weight that you normally lift with.  In this position raise the weight up with one leg until it is fully extended, pause for a second and lower.  When you return to the starting position use your opposite leg to lift the weight.  Alternate like this until you complete the set.
