Adam " Old School " Shrugs

I call these Adam shrugs because he popularized them on our site.  These are shrugs performed on an incline.  These produce a stretch in the traps that is second to none!  They also eliminate cheating and place the pressure almost entirely where they belong, on the traps.  If you donít include these in your traps routine, you are cheating yourself of growth.  

Implementation: (A) Sit in an incline bench and let your arms dangle down (similar to incline hammer curl position) (B) Now shrug the weight straight upward as if you were trying to touch your traps to your ears!  (C) Squeeze hard at the top and release slowly.  Overemphasize the stretch aspect at the bottom of the movement for complete development.
